As a registered charity operating as an animal rescue and rehoming centre Star Rescue are obliged to follow strict guidelines when considering any adoptions. Our fund raisers and supporters would expect no less.

Applicants must first read and Agree to our Privacy Policy before submitting Personal Information, you must be over 18 years of age.

Please Read before Beginning your application

You must be over the age of 18 years.
The application form is long, allow at least 30 minutes.
All Applications must be completed fully and honestly.
An adoption fee of €300 applies for all our adoptions as our dogs, puppies and cats have been fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
You must give consent according to GDPR & agree to our Privacy Policy when submitting your details.
Please make absolutely certain you enter your email address correctly.
You will receive an automated acknowledgement receipt by email after you submit your Form Entry.
Shortlisting can take up to 14 days after completion of the online form.
Only succesful shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
We do not contact unsuccesful applicants, our volunteer’s time is too short.

We re-home dogs based on which dog we feel would be most suited to your home, and we evaluate your application based on the dogs' needs. In order for us to do this accurately, we ask that you answer all questions completely and honestly.

An adoption fee of €300 applies for all our adoptions as our dogs, puppies and cats are rehomed when they have been fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Puppies must be neutered by 6 months of age and, as part of the adoption criteria, you are agreeing to this.

Final Agreements

We are required to perform a Home Safety check as part of the adoption process. You must consent to accepting the Homecheck as part of your Application.

To ensure the ongoing safety of animals adopted through our service you are required to sign an Adoption Contract covering the basic responsibilities and requirements expected of any individual or family adopting animals from Star Rescue. You must indicate your acceptance to be bound by the terms of any such adoption contract as part of your application.
