Registered Animal Rescue Charity
based in Newcastle West, County Limerick
Our Mission...
is to enable prevention and relief of suffering for animals (primarily the domestic dog, domestic cat and feral cat). Star Rescue CLG is based in Limerick but is not limited to this county. Star Rescue, through a network of dedicated individuals, assists abandoned, sick , injured and unwanted animals.
Animals in the care of Star rescue will receive appropriate veterinary care and be assessed and prepared for loving homes. Star Rescue CLG aims to fulfil this commitment for Irish feral cats colonies through the process of trap, neuter , return (TNR). All animals have an intrinsic value and should be treated with respect and dignity and protected accordingly.
Our rescue community is engaged internationally in animal welfare concerns. We also aim to assist in the improvement of animal welfare internationally by providing food and related vet care cost assistance in the case of poverty, war, climate change and natural disasters. This is done either directly by Star rescue or via funding of in-situ organisations at the frontline. Star Rescue, promotes and supports the activities of similar minded animals welfare bodies within Ireland and internationally.

Rescue Abandoned Animals
We respond to emergency calls to safely and quickly recover abandoned or unwanted Animals from across the region.
Lost and Found Returns
With Microchipped Animals, we're able to scan and return lost & found pets, bringing joy and relief to owners and animals.
Trap, Neuter and Return
Managing Feral Cat Populations with our T.N.R. programme reducing in-breeding, illnesses and suffering for Cats.
Veterinary Care
Via a supportive network of Veterinary Practices we arrange treatment and medicines for our rescued animals.
Recovery Fostering
Rescued animals are given the care and attention needed to recover, preparing them for a new start in life.
Loving Adoptions
Finally our rescued Animals are found loving new forever homes through a carefully managed adoption process.
